As a local, you may already be familiar with Singapore and know the difference between HDB, EC or Condo and the area you want to stay, from Tampines, River Valley to Jurong. But for foreigners, who are coming to Singapore for the first time looking for a house to rent or stay, you may be clueless as to where and how to even begin your search. Moreover, not having the local knowledge of the vicinity and the different properties available put you at a disadvantage.

In traditional property search portals, you are able to search for your next home based on your set parameters. i.e nearest condos from Orchard MRT; houses within District 13 Macpherson, Potong Pasir, Woodleigh Bidadari; Or by HDB estates Hougang, Punggol, Bishan etc. And that’s where you found the ideal home, and this is where the nightmare begins…

From non-replies to rude responses. Sometimes agents will come hassling you, asking you to view another unit, or pressuring you to make a higher offer etc… You may end up paying higher than the valuation of the house, and even if you have the means to buy at a higher price, you still have to go through the tedious application process all by yourself. It makes you wonder why is it so difficult to just find a place you would like to stay?

Wouldn’t it be great if someone can help you with these tedious liaising while you just turn up for the viewing? Wouldn’t it be good if someone can follow you through the entire sales process and provide financial advice so you never overpay for your house.
